Dr Calum Carson is an Associate Lecturer at Leeds University Business School, alongside his ongoing role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. Dr Carson’s current research project is the first in the UK to explore employer experiences of Universal Credit, and at the end of 2020 he completed his PhD in the Real Living Wage at the University of Leeds.
Besides a six-month relocation to Geneva in 2016 to work at the United Nations he has lived in Yorkshire for the past 17 years, and outside of his work in academia Dr Carson is a keen photographer, cook and walker.
